YOUR MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT FOR HERTFORD AND STORTFORD

I'm Josh, your Member of Parliament for Hertford and Stortford. It's the honour of my life to represent our community in Parliament.

"IT'S THE HONOUR OF MY LIFE TO REPRESENT THE COMMUNITY WHERE I GREW UP AND WHERE I CALL HOME."

FROM HERTFORD
TO THE HOUSE OF
COMMONS

It was the honour and privilege of my life to be elected as the Member of Parliament for Hertford and Stortford at the 2024 General Election. I grew up here, went to our local schools and worked in our community, and I'm proud to live here today.

When I left school early at 17, it was our local youth workers that helped me to rebuild my confidence and find the path that was right for me. I wanted to be our MP to give back to the community that has given me so much.

Sitting on the Government benches in the House of Commons, I am determined to repay the trust that local people placed in me and make our community an even better place to live, work and learn.

Your priorities are my priorities and as our MP I’m standing up for Hertford and Stortford.

In 2025, following my interventions in Parliament and meetings with the Rail Minister and Network Rail, I helped to get the Platform 1 lift project at Hertford North over the line, building on the campaigning of local councillors and residents over many years.

By speaking up for our community, I’ve also helped to secure government investment in a new Youth Employment Hub in East Herts, support for improvements at Church Street GP surgery, as well as funding for repairs and improvements at local schools.

And I’ve been working hard to make sure I’m a visible local MP, opening my shop-front constituency office in Bishop’s Stortford, visiting local schools, charities and businesses, and welcoming government Ministers to our community.

My Mum is a special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) coordinator, and in 2025 I was diagnosed with ADHD myself.

I know how badly families in our community have been let down by the SEND system and as our MP I’m determined to help make a difference.

In 2025 and earlier this year, I held a series of roundtables to hear how local people want to see the government rebuild the SEND system. I shared those views with Ministers to ensure your voice was heard.
