Josh Dean MP invites Hertford and Stortford’s children and young people to take part in the 2026 Christmas Card Competition
Children aged up to and including year 8 are invited to showcase their artistic skills this festive season by entering a Christmas card competition. This wonderful initiative will give young people a chance to design a card that could be sent to some of the most important figures in the country.
The winning card will be sent to the Prime Minister, His Majesty The King, and to communities across the Hertford and Stortford constituency. It’s a unique opportunity for children to be part of the Christmas celebrations in a truly memorable way.
This year's theme is Christmas in Parliament, and we invite any and all interpretations of that theme - be it Parliament covered in snow, or Father Christmas debating in the Commons, creativity is encouraged.
All types of media are welcome, from crayons and markers to paint and pens. The only rule is to have fun and let those creative ideas flow!
How to enter: Submit your entry by submitting digitally to officeofjosh.dean.mp@parliament.uk, either by scanning or photographing your card.
Deadline: All entries must be received by 5pm Friday 13th November
A panel of judges will review the submissions, with a prize for the winning entry. The name and school of the winner will also be featured on the card.
“It has been such a delight to receive so many brilliant designs from young people in our community over the past two years that I have run my Christmas card competition. I am excited to launch the competition again for the third year in a row now. It's the perfect opportunity to get creative, and spread some festive cheer. I am really looking forward to seeing all the new designs.” - Josh Dean MP
